MonitorAuto-FixInfluence

When Google drops and
ChatGPT
cites competitors, Surgbly shows what to fix first.

Surgbly investigates your rankings, AI citations, and crawler access, then classifies why visibility weakened. The finding becomes a Fix Pack, a Platform Task, or an Influence Plan, and Surgbly reruns the check to see whether it worked.

Start read-only. Nothing on your site changes until you approve it.

The product

Monitoring, fixing, and the work you can only influence.

Rankings, AI citations, and crawler access on one schedule.

All three run together, so when one signal moves you see it next to the others instead of opening a separate tool to go looking for it.

You can see the drop. You cannot see the cause.

Any of the six things below can weaken the same page, and your dashboard reports all of them the same way: a number that went down last month. The cause sits underneath it.

Google changes

An algorithm update reshuffles rankings overnight. Last month's playbook stops working.

AI changes

ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini answer the same question differently week to week. What earned a citation last week may not earn one this week.

Schema breaks

A CMS update or plugin change invalidates structured data with no warning.

Crawlers fail

A WAF rule, a JavaScript wall, or a blocked path stops search and AI crawlers from reaching your content.

Rankings drop

A page slides from position 3 to page 2. Search Console shows you the drop. It does not show you what caused it.

AI citations disappear

Competitors show up in AI answers and you don't. The cause could be access, understanding, relevance, authority, or freshness.

For "best running shoe retailers," this is who gets cited, and how often you appear next to them.

How Surgbly works

Meet Surgbly

One workflow watches your visibility, works out why it changed, and fixes what it can. Every step leaves its evidence behind.

Visibility issue detected
  1. 1

    Detect

Surgbly watches your rankings, AI citations, and crawler access, and flags the moment one of them drops.

  2. 2

    Diagnose

It pulls the evidence together: your page, the competitor outranking you, and the technical history. What comes out is a root cause with a confidence label attached to it.

  3. 3

    Recommend

It sizes the impact and tells you what to do next: a Fix Pack for your own site, a Platform Task, an Influence Plan, or a Monitoring Rule if it's too early to act.

  4. 4

    Auto Fix / Approve

For pages you own, Surgbly builds the exact before-and-after change and waits for your approval before deploying it. You can also set a policy that lets low-risk fixes go out on their own.

  5. 5

    Verify & Learn

It reruns the check, confirms whether the fix held, and writes the result to your Fix History, which the next diagnosis on this site draws on.

The platform

The four jobs, with the numbers behind each one.

Surgbly watches Google and AI search, works out why visibility weakened, routes the fix, and keeps a record of what happened.

Every drop gets classified

Surgbly sorts each finding into one of six failure classes, so the queue starts with a cause rather than a symptom.

Third-party sources like Reddit are not yours to edit, so they route to an Influence Plan instead.

Built for the team that has to answer for visibility loss.

Founder-led SaaS

Leads dropped and you don't have an SEO person.

Surgbly checks rankings, AI mentions, and crawler access first, then hands you a list in priority order with the evidence behind each item.

SEO & content agencies

A client asks if they show up in ChatGPT. You need an answer by Friday.

Run the same audit across every client workspace, export a report the client can read, and route the fix work from there.

SEO & organic growth teams

Leadership wants an AI visibility report. Your current tools stop at "mentioned" or "not mentioned."

Get the failure class down to the query and page level, and tickets with enough detail that a developer will take them.

See the workflow

The objections that come up first.

We already use Semrush/Ahrefs.

Keep them for research. Surgbly handles what happens after: classification, fix packs, approval, and verification.

We can just check ChatGPT ourselves.

That works once. Surgbly makes it repeatable: the same prompts against the same engines, with every snapshot stored so you can compare runs.

Will this touch our website without asking?

No. Every owned-site change starts as a reviewable diff. Nothing deploys without approval and a rollback path.

Is AI visibility data even reliable?

Answers vary run to run. Surgbly stores snapshots, reruns prompts, and labels its confidence, so a single sample never gets reported as fact.

What about Reddit, reviews, and sites we can't edit?

Those become Influence Plans: outreach or content work you can assign to a person. Surgbly will not pretend it can edit a source you do not control.

Is this just another dashboard?

There is a dashboard, but the part you work in is the recovery queue: route the finding, ship the fix, verify it.

Questions

Worth knowing before you start a trial.

Which AI and search engines does Surgbly track?

Google Search, Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT Search, Perplexity, Gemini, and Copilot. Each engine is tracked on its own and never blended into a single score.

What access does Surgbly need to my site?

Only the scope a workflow needs, which is usually a low-privilege CMS account or a scoped token. Surgbly never asks for billing or admin access.

How do changes actually get made?

Fix Packs ship as a reviewable diff with validation and a rollback path, and nothing deploys until you approve it. For profiles and listings Surgbly cannot deploy to directly, you get a Platform Task instead.

How do you confirm a fix worked?

Surgbly checks the page is live, then reruns the same prompts, crawls, or rank checks used to find the problem. Outcome monitoring runs separately for two to three weeks and reports improved, unchanged, worsened, or inconclusive.

Can I undo a change Surgbly makes?

Yes. Every fix is written only after the prior state is saved, so one click restores it.
